Richard Avedon, estadounidense, fotógrafo de la moda y el retrato, recogió todo el glamour de los 50 y 60, nacido en Nueva York, en 1923 y fallecido en San Antonio, Texas, en 2004.
He querido dedicarle el post de hoy porque creo que fue un genio, le he admirado siempre por toda su trayectoria profesional, recuerdo las veces que en mis estudios de moda le mencionaba y le hacia presente en muchos de mis trabajos, para mi fue alguien muy representativo.
Comenzó su carrera profesional en los años 1950, realizando espléndidos trabajos de moda para la revista Harper's Bazaar, donde acabó convirtiéndose en jefe de fotografía.
Posteriormente, habría de colaborar igualmente con otras revistas como Vogue, Life y Look.. Con el tiempo llego hacer de la fotografía de moda un estilo totalmente artístico.
Sus retratos eran tanto personalidades desconocidas como famosas, entre los que se encontraban los rostros de la época: Truman Capote, Henry Miller, Humphrey Bogart o Marilyn Monroe, además de muchos otros y cercanos a nuestra época.
